Mini Aylostera Pulvinosa
Description
- Aylostera Pulvinosa (synonym Rebutia Pulvinosa) is a small growing, clumping species of cactus.
- Individual heads will grow to about 4cm in diameter and form tight clumps with offsets growing at the base.
- Aylostera is a slow growing succulent and it can take about 5 years for the cluster to reach full size of about 15cm.
- Bright orange flowers appear in Spring/ Summer and last about 3 weeks.
- More mature plants can grow well over 20 flowers during the flowering season.
- Aylostera spines are not sharp and almost hair like. The plant can easily be handled without gloves.
Position and Care
- Aylostera Pulvinosa is a hardy cactus and can be grown outdoors in sun or partial shade. It is best to protect it from strong afternoon sun during heatwaves.
- Water well but let the soil dry out completely before watering again. This plant will not mind the rain as long as it is planted in succulent potting mix.
- Aylostera Pulvinosa is drought hardy and will survive without water for long periods but will grow better when watered regularly.
- Can be grown indoors in a sunny spot, but will grow slower and may not bloom.

- The plant will be small and about 4-5cm in diameter.
- Plants are sent on Mondays and Tuesdays, so they arrive before the weekend.
