Description
- Mammillaria Elongata or 'Ladyfinger Cactus' is an interesting species of cactus with erect stems.
- The spines are yellowish giving the whole plant a golden hue.
- Mammillaria Elongata is a slow grower that will produce extensive clumps over time.
- Small yellow flowers appear in Spring throughout the stems
Position and Care
- Mammillaria Elongata is a hardy cactus and can be grown outdoors in sun or partial shade. It is best to protect it from strong afternoon sun during heatwaves.
- Water well but let the soil dry out completely before watering again. This plant will not mind the rain as long as it is planted in succulent potting mix.
- Elongata is drought hardy and will survive without water for long periods but will grow better when watered regularly.
- Can be grown indoors in a sunny spot, but will grow slower and may not bloom.

- Perfect pot cactus that can be planted with other cacti or succulents.
Your Plant
- Plants are sent bare rooted (without pot or soil).
- The root system will be sufficiently developed.
- The plant will be similar or same as the plant in the photo which is displayed in a 5cm pot.
- The plant will be small, as per photos 1-3. The last photo shows more advanced plant in full bloom.
- Plants are sent on Mondays and Tuesdays, so they arrive before the weekend.
- Due to restrictions, we cannot post plants to WA, NT or TAS.
