  • Sempervivum Montanum is a lovely, small growing succulent with lime green leaves.
  • In winter the leaves can turn copper if the plant is exposed to full sun.
  • It has a clumping habit with chicks growing from the base of the plant, forming a carpet of little rosettes.
  • Single heads grow to approximately 10 cm in diameter, clumps measure larger.

Fern Farm faviconPosition & Care

  • Sempervivum Montanum prefers a partly shaded position in summer as it can burn in the heatwaves.

  • In the ground, mature plants are quite self-sufficient. Water only if it hasn't rained for a couple of weeks.
  • In pots water frequently in summer, but let the soil dry up between waterings.
  • Grows best in a free-draining potting mix.
